Biography
Colin Blowers is a Trustee of the Board of BABCP and also a Co-Chair of The BABCP Scientific Committee.
He has worked in the NHS for many years initially as nurse, then as a Behaviour Therapist. Since leaving the NHS I has worked in the private sector at Roehampton, London and Brighton. He specialises in a wide range of problems including stress, panic disorders, phobias, obsessive compulsive disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder. Within the field of post-traumatic stress disorder, he has treated people with a wide range of traumas, from those involved in road traffic accidents, rape or childhood sexual abuse, to others involved in incidents such as the sinking of the Sir Galahad during the Falklands War and the Southall and Paddington rail crashes.
Colin has presented seminars and workshops in The United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Australia and Guyana and have participated in CBT discussions and live treatment sessions on television and radio programmes, including “The One Show”.
