Evidenced Reading

Evidenced Reading Modules (also known as “Assessed Reading”) are part of the Diploma’s self-directed learning components and can only be taken AFTER the appropriate training course have been attended/completed.

SDS has produced specific separate reference lists of public domain accessible reading material* accompanied by on-line scored tests to help students evidence that they have read the reading material specified. Please note that these reference list for evidence based tests are IN ADDITION to any reading lists provided by trainers themselves.

The tests have a pass mark of 75%.

The on-line tests are designed as a simple method of checking that reading has occurred and been understood rather than as an onerous obstacle that students should be expected to “cram” for. The tests may be taken as many times as is necessary in order to reach the Pass mark.

Once reached, the reading hours will be added to your log book accordingly.
