ACT combines “acceptance and mindfulness strategies mixed in different ways with commitment and behaviour-change strategies, to increase psychological flexibility”.

This helps clients to open up to unpleasant thoughts and feelings without over-reaction or avoidance. It has been utilised in fields as diverse as pain management, trauma and depression.

The course is designed to provide a detailed training in the “taught elements” of ACT as well as guidance support in its practical application and maintenance through the 3 Day ACT Practitioner’s Toolkit which will examine its use with case discussion.
