In this masterclass we will be exploring how ACT conceptualises the phenomenon of Burnout across professional contexts and how it proposes to address these difficulties. Particular attention will be given on the contextual behavioural model of formulation as a catalyst to better understand the role of key risk predictors and how it can be combined with traditional well-established models of Burnout such as the Job Demands-Resources Model. Case studies of the use of ACT interventions in Burnout contexts will be used to illustrate the inner workings of the model and the potential benefits of integrating it in current Organisational and HR practices.
