Aaron Beck and Albert Ellis - two towering figures in the world of psychotherapy, whose impact on the ways we view and approach mental illness cannot be underestimated.

Professor Ray DiGiuseppe, is the Chair of the Institutional Review Board at St John’s University, and a Director of Professional Education at the Albert Ellis Institute (AEI) and studies anger as a clinical problem. He is a fellow of the American Psychological Association’s divisions of Clinical, School, Psychotherapy, and Family Psychology, the Association for Psychological Science, and the Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Therapies.

Ray did his two-year post-doctoral fellowship with Albert Ellis and worked closely with him for years.

Professor Paul Grantham is one of the UK's leading CBT tutors. He trained in Beck Institute for Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, including training with Aaron (Tim) Beck, albeit briefer than he would have liked.

This conversation was recorded before the news of Aaron Beck's death in 2021.
