This level of accreditation gives you a Certificate of Attendance and enables you to state on your CV that you hold SDS Accreditation in Clinical Supervision, Level 1 (Foundation).
Your accreditation is valid for three years, after which you may no longer make the above statement.
This level of accreditation can be renewed by completing a refresher course.
Alternatively, you may progress to SDS Accreditation in Clinical Supervision, Level 2 (Assessed Academic Competence) by successfully completing the associated online exam.
SDS Accreditation in Clinical Supervision, Level 2 (Assessed Academic Competence) is awarded upon completion of the Level 1 requirements and successful completion of the associated online exam.
This level of accreditation gives you a Certificate of Completion with Assessed Academic Competence. It also enables you to state on your CV that you hold SDS Accreditation in Clinical Supervision, Level 2 (Assessed Academic Competence), and to use the CSAccred.(AAC) designation after your name.
Your accreditation is valid for three years, after which you may no longer make the above statements.
This level of accreditation can be renewed by completing a refresher course.

This level of accreditation gives you a Certificate of Completion (Advanced) with Assessed Academic and Clinical Competence. It also enables you to state on your CV that you hold SDS Accreditation in Clinical Supervision, Level 3 (Advanced), with Assessed Academic and Clinical Competence, and to use the CSAccred.(Advanced) designation after your name.

SDS Accreditation in Clinical Supervision, Level 4 (Proficiency) has the same requirements as Level 3, with the following additional requirements:

Submission of a project of an acceptable standard (3,000 words). The purpose of the project is to demonstrate your ability to apply the knowledge gained from the course to practical clinical supervision situations. The project should follow one of the formats below:

A small quantitative research project examining an aspect of the supervision process. Prior experience and knowledge of simple experimental design and statistical analysis are required. The field of clinical supervision remains under-researched, with many unanswered questions concerning both processes and, particularly, outcomes. The project should broadly follow the format indicated in university guidance on writing psychology research reports.

A qualitative report comparing published research, the content of the SDS Level 1 course, or both with your own experience as a supervisor. Similarities and differences between the research or academic content and your experience should be identified and discussed. External constraints, such as organisational or professional requirements, and internal constraints, such as emotional or ethical considerations, should be explored, together with how these were managed. Similarities and differences between the experiences of the supervisor and supervisee should also be considered, together with their implications for the supervision process. The report should identify the principal learning points and explain how these will influence your future practice.

Book Supervision for Supervisors sessions with Professor Paul Grantham
This level of accreditation gives you a BPS Approved Certificate in Clinical Supervision (Proficiency). It also enables you to state on your CV that you hold SDS Accreditation in Clinical Supervision, Level 4 (Proficiency) and to use the CSAccredP designation after your name.
At this level, you will also be given the option to be listed in the SDS Network of Qualified Clinical Supervisors.
Your accreditation is valid for five years, after which you may no longer make the above statements.
This level of accreditation can be renewed by maintaining regular Supervision for Supervisors, with at least four sessions per year, and completing an appropriate refresher course.
